E-Discovery Manager
Alan Abbey leads firm-wide efforts in all matters pertaining to eDiscovery. He holds the Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) certification, awarded by the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS). His oversight encompasses the following areas:
e-Discovery Planning and Design
- Collaborate with legal teams to effectively develop and implement eDiscovery plans, including identification of documents, collection, processing, and document productions;
- Liaise with legal team regarding eDiscovery protocols and production specifications;
- Strategize eDiscovery solutions for a variety of complex litigation matters.
e-Discovery Execution
- Manage and administer in-house eDiscovery software platform, including attorney training;
- Perform all eDiscovery workflow tasks, including data collection, processing, production, and quality control;
- Data troubleshooting;
- Utilize data analytics;
- Ensure eDiscovery best practices are implemented and followed, while taking ownership of all eDiscovery workflow tasks.
Thanks to excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills, Alan thrives under pressure while still delivering accurate, quality work product. Alan works closely with the firm’s attorneys and clients alike to ensure that goals and expectations are not only met, but exceeded.
